In this research based unit students will be researching the answers to many food related questions, such as, “ How does food preservation work? What causes Salmonella? What causes food allergies? Why do we crave certain foods?”. Students will also be doing various experiments throughout to learn about different chemical reactions with items found in the kitchen. Students will also be learning about heat energy and will be making their own solar ovens!
